Bewitched by Green

I've been wearing more and more greens lately. So here is another look using the BFTECosmetics Wizard of Oz-Some Collection. I literally have worn this collection all week! Just love it!

Anyways on with the pics... Description of products listed below.

Natural Light, No Flash

1.I used Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner, Covet all over my lid.
2. Pat Emerald City over Covet, all over the lid.
3.Blend EC up toward brow bone. Right above the lid, were there is no Covet liner, EC will be lighter.
4.I used Good Witch as my brow bone hilight
5.I lined around the top and bottom of my eye with Covet.
6.I patted My Pretty on top of the liner and slightly winged it out.

This was a fast, simple look! No cut crease this time. :)
Hope everyone enjoys!

My Pretty

This is My Pretty from BFTECosmetics. This color comes in the Wizard of OZ-Some collection.

This is a black based shadow with green iridescent flecks throughout it. I love it so.

I can't even begin to capture the complexity of this shadow! In certain light, it looks very green. With direct flash, the black is most visible & the green flecks sparkle.

Merle Norman Fall Colors

I have a friend that works for Merle Norman. It is always to good to be in the know with makeup retailers. :) She told me Merle Norman's new fall colors were out. Of course I had to go take a look!

This is a look I did using Gold Digger eyeshadow on the lid & Charcoal Green in crease. Do my eyes look different? I applied them on my good friend Meggie :)

Swatches of BFTE Greens

A friend of mine, and fellow BFTE lover, Jenn asked for a comparison swatch of two different colors. Since I had the two she asked about and a few other greens from BFTE, I decided to swatch them for everyone.

These are swatched over Urban Decay Primer Potion, on my Sweety's back. Good husbands, will let a makeup obsessed wife, do those kind of things. Ha ha :)

I did a few at odd angles. Minerals are so vibrant & sparkly. One pic can't show how awesome they are, so I'm adding these.

Thanks for looking everyone!

EDIT/UPDATE : BFTE no longer carries Sage or Shamrock. The colors By Golly, Ying Yang, and Glimpse all seem to be very close dupes to me. If I order these colors in the future I will update this post again.

New Orleans Saints Team Colors Inspiration

My Sweety and I were getting ready to watch the Saints game and I was inspired to do an eyeshadow look based on the team colors: Black & Gold. I thought this would be a challenge considering I was fairly certain I didn't have any gold eyeshadow. But as luck would have it, I had forgotten about my BFTE loose mineral shadow in Antique. This is a perfect gold color. For black I used Ulta's pressed shadow Galaxy. I love the teeny tiny sparkly flecks throughout it. For inner corner highlight, and fade into gold color I used Platinum. This color is also a pressed shadow from Ulta. My eyebrow pencil is actually an eyeliner from Ulta in the color Bronze.

Swatch out Saints!

To make the sharp black crease I used Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Zero. I took an eyeliner brush, rubbed the pencil on it, and drew the crease. I put Galaxy on top of that and faded up. This method also works well to make sharp "cat eye" wings on the the inner and outer corners of the eye.

The lip liner is an off brand drugstore pencil in color Auburn. I used an Estee Lauder gloss in the color Ginger.

Lips for the Saints FOTD

I did not get a full face picture that I really liked. So here is me and my "niece" Jocelyn. She is a very good friend's daughter. I was taking Halloween pictures for her today.
