Sugarpill Pink and Bright

I've kinda been obsessed with the color pink since this post....
..and I haven't really worn my Sugarpill pressed shadows that much so this is my EOTD when we went out to eat the other night.






Since I covered every angle of my eyeball, here is a full face pic :)

Smokey Purple EOTD

Ok... I must go ahead and admit these pics are a few months old. I came across them in photobooth and I decided to post them.

Like my Random EOTD post, I sometimes take quick pics of my makeup on my way to work... I wish I had better pics with my good camera, but it is what it is... Something is better than nothing? yes? :)

I think the crease is MUFE #92 eyeshadow. That is the only product I can remember.

Who doesn't love pink?

I love hot pink! So many of us do :)

I also wanted to wear my Too Faced, Mess in a Dress, eye shadow I bought when they had their sale not too long ago. I couldn't resist adding another hot pink to the collection.

So, here goes...






UDPP all over eye area
NYX Jumbo pencil Milk under brow
random matte white over milk and blended down
Too Faced Mess in a Dress all over lid and blended up
felt tip eyeliner pen, I think its the NYX or Ulta brand...I'm not sure
NYX Milk on water line
Brows are drawn on using an Ulta eyeliner pencil, color Bronze

If you noticed, that is super hot pink in my hair.... Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink to be exact. I will cover the hair in greater detail in another post :)

Pink and Purple Smoke :)

A simple smokey sparkly look! Say that 5 times fast :)

I am so loving these new colors from BFTE! I know I use their shadows for most of my looks, but I can't help it. I just love them! BFTE's Laura & Midnight Kisses are officially in my top 10 favorite shadows, ever...ever!









UDPP first on lid. Next, I applied Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Deviant (deep blue) all over the lid. I faded the edges out with my finger tips.

I then applied BFTE's Laura (deep pink, with sparkle) all over the lid and faded above brow bone. The blue liner made Laura a pinkish purple color that fades into a pink as it gets toward the brow. (I hope that makes sense!)

I used BFTE's Way up High as brow highlight over NYX Milk pencil.

Then, I lined my eyes with UD 24/7 liner Deviant (same liner I used on my lid as a blue base). I winged my liner, and lined my waterline and under my eye also.

I used a pencil smudgy brush to apply BFTE's Midnight Kisses over all the areas I applied Deviant. I smudged Midnight Kisses to give it more of a smokey look.

Blush - Nars Angelika
Cheek Highlight - BFTE Pyxis

Lips - Nars lip pencil Sex Machine, then MAC Blankety on top

side note - this is the first time I've tried the eye makeup remover and q-tip trick to make a sharp line on the outer corner of the eye. I love the way it turned out! :)

Pink Hair & Hearts

Keeping in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I present my very pink haired, and uber smokey purple eyes girl. :)

I'm not a graphic designer (but very envious of you that are) but I am an artist. My first major in college was art... I had a scholarship...but after a few semesters, I didn't feel that was the path for me at the time. I enjoy drawing and painting on a regular basis though. I think being an artist is what helps with my makeup application, choosing color combos, etc (and lots of practice!)... Anyways, since I didn't take any graphics classes, I try to practice on a regular basis with my Wacom tablet...drawing my girls...

I would love to be graphic designer ...

I love my job I have now though :) So I will just practice and learn what I can on my own.

I'm waiting for warmer weather and I wanted a nice bold summer/springish look. I also have some new colors from BFTECosmetics I wanted to wear. I was really happy with the way this turned out :)

Yay! Another cut crease! I hope everyone doesn't get tired of these b/c this is probably one of my favorite ways to wear eye shadow.... On to the eyes my lovelies....

Jeweled Eyes FOTD

The bright, pretty colors in this look reminded me of various jewel tones. I wanted something colorful without cutting the crease like I usually do.

My favorite part is the greenish turquoise lid and the bright purple waterline. I love BFTECosmetic mineral shadows. I can do so many fun looks with them.

I used my Urban Decay 24/7 liner Covet all over the lid to make BFTE's Walking on Water really vibrant.
I also used UD's 24/7 liner Lust on my waterline and put BFTE's Grape on top. I wanted the waterline to really pop with bright purple. :)

Pink and Green EOTD

Welllll I have been meaning to edit these pics for awhile. I couldn't ever decide on a handful I liked for a post. Finally I decided to go ahead with it. If I can post cell phone pics, then I can post not-totally-perfect good camera pics...

I had just gotten a new lens for my camera and I wasn't totally sure how to operate it. It is what it is :)










I'm wearing some of those neat criss cross lashes, cheapies from after Halloween clearance.

lid- MUFE Star Powder Iridescent Fuschia 951 (Be warned this stuff is very intense pink, and will slightly stain your eyelids)

crease- green from the Kryolan UV palette

I outlined the pink winged area with UD 24/7 liner Zero and added a bit of black matte eyeshadow over it.

Rainbow Zebra Nails

I painted these the other day to match my rainbow eyes. I used all the China Glaze Poolside Collection polishes... Did I say that right? I hope so....

I used a fine detail brush for the stripes. This is also the same day I somehow didn't manage to get any photos except with my phone... But the photos turned out ok...So enjoy! :)

Lol, Anyways, a quick sneak peek of me playing with my new Sugarpill palettes. I'm not to wild about the particular way I applied the shadows. I will probably redo this later. I do love the colors though! Bright, Vibrant, Pigmented! I definitely can't complain! :)

Super Brights BFTE Contest Look

This was a fun, I fell into super bright paint, I am trying to blind you look!
BFTECosmetics is having a contest. They posted a pic of two prom dresses for inspiration. This is the one the look is based on....

How awesome is that! Who could resist the bright, fun colors in that dress? Certainly not me. :)

Wow! It isn't every day I use that many colors! I had fun doing this look and I have received some nice compliments so far. :) I also was planning to visit Sephora on the day I wore this. I had so much fun talking to everyone! The customers and employees were great!

My FOTD which I am calling Smokey Pinks...



What I used

Face:
-Smashbox Primer
-Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Foundation, color Fresco
-Estee Lauder Double Matte Oil Control Powder color Medium
-BFTE Loose Mineral Foundation Powder, color Medium
-Rimmel Bronzer

Eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Coastal Scents 88 Palette
-Kryolan White as a base
-Gel liner in Black
-Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero
-Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara, color Black

Cheeks:
-Nars Angelika

Lips:
-Urban Decay lipstick in Jilted
-Calvin Klein lipstick in Mesmerize



1. Apply UDPP over entire lid

2. Apply Kryolan Aqua Color in White over entire lid. This makes the light pinks really be able to stand out. (Use this wet)

3. Use the darkest pink, circled in picture above, on the outside edge of lid. Use next lightest pink beside that, and so on... Blend the pinks together until they make a seamless transition from light to dark. I blended the lightest pink right at the midpoint of my lid, leaving the inner 1/3 white.

4. Use the white from the 88 palette on inner 1/3 of lid and under the eye as well.

5. Use the white on the brow bone for a highlight.

6. Cut the crease with black from the 88 palette and blend up.

7. Under the eye, the outer 2/3, I used black and blended to make it look smokey.

8. Use UD 24/7 liner on water line.

9. Finish with gel liner and mascara :)

On the lips I used UD Jilted on all of my lips. except the center part of the lower one. I put CK Mesmerize on the center of my lower lip and blended them together a little.
